	"description": "We are writing as friends and colleagues of Carla Valpeoz, a Michigan resident who is currently missing in Peru.  Carla is a smart, engaged, adventurous 35 year old from Detroit, who has traveled the world and led groups of other blind individuals on excursions around the US.  She is a local disability rights activist, restorative justice educator, and a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She is a vital part of our community. She has been missing since Dec. 12th after attending a wedding in Peru.  A search is underway for her, but time is of the essence. Please use your power as a member of Congress to ensure that the FBI opens a full investigation of Carla&#x27;s disappearance, with agents on the ground in Cusco &amp;amp; Pisac, Peru. We also request that the State Department send additional personnel to aide in the investigation to recover this beloved American Citizen. Thank you.",
