"description": "The NSW workers compensation system is broken and cost cutting reforms proposed by NSW Treasurer, Daniel Mookhey, will stop traumatised and under pressure workers from accessing mental health services. The Labor Treasurer’s changes won’t prevent injuries and won’t support our under pressure frontline workers who are forced to do more with less. These cost cutting proposals will just make it harder for workers to access treatment to get back to work. NSW Government MPs and MLCs signed a pledge promising to reform the workers compensation system when they got into government. Now these MLCs and MPs are in government they are supporting these cuts and turning their backs on injured workers. Mental health issues caused by trauma won’t be fixed by cost cutting - it just pushes workers into isolation, increases emotional and financial pressure on families and into an already under resourced mental health system. Please email your local Labor MP and MLCs now and tell them to stand by their pre-election promise to support injured workers.",
