"description": "Wildlife cannot survive without room to move. Across the country, roads, development, fences, and fragmented habitat are cutting animals off from the places they need to find food, water, shelter, and mates. For migratory species and wildlife adapting to a changing climate, these barriers can be the difference between survival and extinction. Florida panthers, Mexican wolves, grizzly bears, pronghorn, monarch butterflies, and countless other species depend on connected landscapes. Wildlife corridors provide the pathways they need to migrate, breed, and reach safer habitat. Congress now has an opportunity to protect these vital routes by passing the Wildlife Corridors and Habitat Connectivity Conservation Act. This bipartisan bill would help create a National Wildlife Corridor System on federal public lands, improve coordination among agencies, and establish a public database to support wildlife-corridor planning by states, Tribes, federal agencies, and conservation partners. Protecting wildlife corridors is a practical, science-based solution. It helps reconnect fragmented habitat, strengthens biodiversity, and gives wildlife a better chance to adapt as landscapes and climate conditions change. Please contact your Representative today and urge them to support the Wildlife Corridors and Habitat Connectivity Conservation Act",
