"description": "Young people are ready to talk openly about mental health with their friends, families, and classmates. But Latine youth need culturally and linguistically relevant resources, and providers who understand our communities. The bill directs the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) to develop and carry out an education and outreach campaign to promote mental health and reduce stigma among Hispanic and Latino youth. It also requires Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to study mental health among Latino youth, identify strategies for growing the mental health workforce within the Hispanic and Latino community, and publish its findings so that families, schools, and providers can act on them. This bill is an investment in a generation that will shape America’s future.",
