	"description": "As we start a new year, the time is NOW for all of PASS to join together and stop privatization of the air traffic control system. The House Transportation &amp;amp; Infrastructure Committee is expected to release its version of the FAA reauthorization legislation soon, and we anticipate that there will be language included to privatize the air traffic control system into a not-for-profit corporation. If this happens, Air Traffic Organization (ATO) employees will no longer be federal employees and funding for the remainder of the agency will be unclear. When the bill is released, PASS will be sending out more information. However, there is action you can take right now as we wait for the bill to be introduced. We are asking all members to send an email to their senators and representative telling them why privatization of the air traffic control system is a bad idea. Simply fill out the information and all the fields will be populated for you to send your letter. Please do it NOW to protect yourselves and the future of the aviation system!",
