"description": "Boulder City Council is considering lowering the planned wage increases for tipped workers. This isn't right, it isn't fair to workers, and lowering wages hurts local economies so it won't even actually help restaurants. Sundance Festival is going to bring in thousands of visitors to the area. Let's not make it impossible to serve them because workers gave up on trying to make a living in Boulder, and move onto other cities. Tipping was a system of pay "invented" during the Jim Crow era, and it is still an inherently racist system of oppression, the state law doesn't allow us to make it less than $3.02, but let's not make it worse!",
