Wade. As a result of the Supreme Court ruling, one in three women of reproductive age, plus trans and nonbinary people, are blocked from abortion care in their home state. More than 64000 women and girls have been forced to give birth because they were raped in states that implemented abortion bans after Roe v. Wade was overruled. Women are three times more likely to leave the workforce, and Women are four times more likely to live in poverty. Not surprisingly, states with abortion bans report some of the country's poorest economic indicators: - Higher maternal mortality rates. - Worse health care outcomes. - Economic losses of over $101 billion annually. The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) has been introduced into Congress and will protect a woman's health, ability to make her own decisions, and constitutional rights.
