They are now in their third week of strike action because their employer Pilgrim&#x27;s is refusing to give them a pay offer to pull them out of poverty pay. Pilgrim&#x27;s make huge profits providing food to various retailers including Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and others. But it&#x27;s profits over people for them. Their workers earn barely over minimum wage but Pilgrim&#x27;s profits increased by over 21% in 2024. They are also demanding an end to the inequality around paid breaks. Day shift workers are only paid for 15-minute breaks while other workers are paid for 30 minutes. Please show your support and send an email to the CEO&#x27;s of the biggest retailers they supply, highlighting the way Pilgrim&#x27;s use their workers to drive up profits.
