	"description": "Charleston library board appointee Graham Horseman, a known right wing troll, has been making waves since his appointment by County Council in late 2024. In his first library board meeting he strolled in and demanded everyone take oaths of allegiance to the constitution, a provision not enforced in any other libraries in the state, and one which is was ultimately designed as a ploy to purge his political enemies from the library board. These board members, who are already taking an oath to serve our library system, employees, and community at large, are in Horsman&#x27;s sights because of their opposition to antI-LGTBQ book bans. He and his patron state senator and Moms for Liberty (M4L) affiliate Matt Leber have been pushing book bans in our county and statewide for the past few years. Their goal is to enforce a strict white Christian nationalist agenda in our schools and libraries. We have an opportunity now! A letter recently issued by members of the Library Board of Trustees has asked to remove Horsman due to his constant and intentional disruption of board activities, his disregard for board rules by repeatedly calling for discussion of his failed proposals, and monopolized meeting time for his own personal purposes. &amp;nbsp; You can help fight back against the broader national right wing assault on our public services by writing your County Councilperson and demand that they recall Horsman from this position. Things to include in your message: Let them know that Horsman is a troll whose interests serve a narrow fundamentalist sliver of our Charleston community Demand that Horsman be recalled! Love your library, librarians, and programs as they are? Tell them!",
