We are asking community members who want to urge Fort Worth ISD leadership to vote NO on the proposed closure of the International Newcomer Academy (INA) and cuts to bilingual/ESL programming. The decision is expected soon, and it is important that the Superintendent, District Leadership, and Board of Managers hear directly from community members, families, and supporters before noon on Tuesday, April 28th. Why This Matters The proposed closure of INA and cuts to bilingual/ESL support would significantly impact newcomer students, families, and educators across Fort Worth. Community voices can play a critical role in shaping this decision. This affects: *27,927 EB &amp; Bilingual students *10,766 Bilingual students *2,127 newcomers (0-3 years in the country) *326 unschooled refugees (SLIFE), this course was only offered at INA and Academic Services canceled the course this year.
