"description": "SIGN & SHARE: Puget Sound Energy is currently building a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility in the Port of Tacoma. This is a climate-destroying fracked gas facility that is being built illegally upon Puyallup Tribal land without their consultation or consent and in direct violation of the Medicine Creek Treaty of 1854. The Puyallup Tribe has asked the community to contact the City of Tacoma demanding that the City complete a new project impact statement (referred to as a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, or SEIS) for the safety of the people, lands and waters. Their goal is that at least 500 people take this action and we stand with the Tribe to achieve this! With the recent court ruling against Tacoma on LNG safety records and the news of the Washington State Attorney General calling out PSCAA’s review of the Puget Sound Energy LNG project as pure fiction, the Tribe is urging community members to reach out to the City of Tacoma to complete a new SEIS analysis because the scope of the project has changed significantly since proposed. The changes warrant further analysis to ensure the safety of our community. Specifically, there are seven significant changes that demand this project be reviewed.",
