On Feb 11, 2026, the House of Representatives passed the SAVE Act – which would make it much harder for citizens to register to vote or change their registration, for no good reason. From onerous ID requirements to attacks on mail-in voter registration forms, this does nothing to help voters. It is designed to keep people from the ballot box. The bill is one of several that will make it harder to vote and harder to vote-by-mail, including the so-called “MEGA Act” which would ban most voters from casting their ballot by-mail.
