CCPL has already cancelled Hoopla (digital lending) and discontinued Chromebook lending.In July, they cut their book budget by 25% and drastically cut their digital collections budget.All so they can pay $250,000 to Jackson Lewis - a notorious union-busting law firm that has been hired by Amazon, Google, Tesla, and numerous universities. After three months of bargaining, no meaningful progress has been made on a contract and with the massive sum set aside for Jackson Lewis, they can afford to delay as long as they like. The public deserves a library that spends more money on books than on lawfare. The public deserves a library that understands how vital librarians are to their community and that they deserve a voice in their workplace.
