"description": "Dave Dyckes is a 17-year veteran of the Cesar Chavez Academy (CCA) High School Math Department. Earlier this year, Dave's doctors told him that he should not be teaching in-person due to a number of health factors including a heart condition. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, CCA made accommodations to let Dave teach virtually through the end of the 21-22 school year, but now they have changed their mind. Dave is now out on medical leave, his students are out a great teacher, and the administration refuses to engage with CCA ACTS (Dave's local union) over this issue. Please support Dave by sending the school administration an email encouraging them to honor their agreement and let Dave teach virtually through the end of the year.",
