	"description": "Yesterday we received a letter from Karen Middleton and Jodi Lundin notifying us that two bargaining unit positions are being eliminated, meaning two union members are going to be left without jobs. On top of that, they&#x27;re massively restructuring two other bargaining unit jobs. This swift and draconian move affects ⅔ of our active bargaining committee and is set to take place on February 19, 2025. Per the National Labor Relations Act, employers must maintain “status quo” while bargaining a first contract, meaning that the employer must maintain the same working conditions and terms of employment until a contract is agreed upon. WE ARE STILL IN STATUS QUO. This move is blatantly illegal. This is one of many attacks our union has faced, and we cannot continue to successfully further the work of advancing access to abortion in Colorado until all union members’ jobs being fully reinstated.
