And yet we’re told universal health care is too expensive and that there’s no money to pay our teachers or build affordable housing and green infrastructure. That ain’t right! Remember: Republicans in Congress passed Trump’s Big Ugly Bill (H.R.1) which gave a $1 trillion tax cut to the richest 1% and cut $1 trillion dollars from Medicaid and SNAP (food stamps) to pay for it. Then they refused to extend the ACA tax credits that make health insurance more affordable. Now, the White House is asking Congress to pay for this war on Iran that no one wanted by passing a package to spend even more of our money. They want us to pay for the war and rising gas prices, while corporate weapons manufacturers and Big Oil companies profit off of the bombing of innocent children. Send a letter to your members of Congress telling them to oppose the war funding bill!",
