"description": "Intuit Mailchimp recently decided to walk away from a podcast project with Pineapple Street Studios. Why? Because workers at Pineapple Street Studios workers chose to unionize with the WGAE. It’s shocking and unacceptable that a company that sponsors a slate of high-quality podcasts, films, and other creative endeavors would include anti-union clauses in its contracts — Not only because the National Labor Relations Act prevent employers from discriminating against employees or job applicants based on union status or sympathies, but because the best creative work comes from situations in which workers are protected. Now is the time for more union-made media, not less. Please take a moment to send a letter to executives at Intuit Mailchimp urging them to remove anti-union clauses from its contracts and commit to working with union labor like the unionized workers at Pineapple Street Studios.",
