"description": "Our mailboxes and phones are being clogged up by un-permissioned fundraising messages from candidates we've never heard of, and it's only getting worse every year. Grandma is now so deluged that she's missing notes from the grandkids and reminders from her doctors -- and she probably got scammed into a recurring donation she has no idea how to stop. The endless barrage of fundraising asks needs to end - we're all sick of it, and there's strong evidence it turns voters off and depresses turnout on election day. As activists and donors, we are NOT bottomless ATM machines; sharing donors' personal information between candidates violates trust and causes overall donations to go down, not up. A few key people in leadership roles at the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee can solve this problem - if they choose to do so. So please speak out today by sending a message to leaders in the Democratic Party asking them to STOP SENDING SPAM.",
