"description": "As you saw at the February 10th Antisemitism Commission hearing, it was a difficult experience, with some commission members failing to uphold their commitment to openness and inclusivity. Their framing of our position misrepresented our efforts and created a hostile environment instead of fostering meaningful dialogue. Please send a comment or call your State Representative and State Senator to make sure they are paying attention to the Commission proceedings and share your own analysis of these proceedings. Your state legislators have the final say on any recommendations coming out of the Commission and they are formulating their opinions now. They also need to understand that their constituents care and want them to engage critically with the discussions. Once you enter your home address, you must personalize your email to legislators with your own talking points: Share details about yourself that you feel comfortable sharing. The more personal these emails are, the more impact they can have. If you are Jewish, please identify yourself as such. Ask to be heard, with respect, at fair and open Commission hearings where everyone who wants to testify, gets to testify - without being demeaned. Which moments stood out to you? How have those moments shaped your understanding of the discussion? Ask your legislators if they are following the proceedings and to share their thoughts with you. Stifling discussion, education, and silencing different opinions regarding Israel and Palestine will not tackle the real problem of antisemitism. Make sure to personalize your email after the pre-written introductory paragraph.",
