In its first attempt to strip LGBT elders out of government programs, the Trump administration has removed sexual orientation from an annual national survey of older adults.  This survey uses the data from this survey to direct funding for senior programs like Meals on Wheels.   Now LGBT people are nowhere to be found in this survey.  Our needs are invisible.  Trump may think that they can quietly cut us out.  The President may think that if we aren’t counted, they don’t have to pay attention to us. But we at SAGE say “No!” We refuse to be silent. We refuse to be invisible. We refuse to go quietly. We’ve come too far to back down now. We fought for your rights.  We are asking you to fight for ours by making your voice heard.  We only have 60 days to have our voices heard.  Speak now and tell President Trump that LGBT elders count.",
