"description": "Right now, the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is considering adding an ultra-processed foods label to the foods we consume, but major food corporations such as Kraft and Kellogg’s are pushing back. They’re taking a page out of Big Tobacco’s playbook -- funding study after study that cast doubt on any research that paints their products in a negative light. For example, Coca Cola funded research that says that exercise is more important than diet. And Kellogg’s sponsored studies that say that people who eat breakfast are healthier than those who do not. They’re also paying high-priced lobbyists to oppose the food labeling effort, and they’re funding a misinformation campaign to convince you that their food is healthy. Watch our latest bombshell report above, then click “START WRITING” to send a message to the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee urging them to label ultra-processed foods.",
