"description": "Legislation is pending, House Bill 1614, which seeks to allow for the personal cultivation of cannabis by an individual at their private residence. If passed, Washingtonians will become able to lawfully cultivate up to six cannabis plants at once. A single household may possess up to fifteen cannabis plants, regardless of the number of individuals residing in the home. Currently, the personal possession and use of cannabis is legal for adults over the age of 21, but personal cultivation is illegal. Out of the 21 states with legal, adult-use cannabis laws, Washington is one of the three that do not allow citizens to grow their own marijuana– forcing individuals to purchase their cannabis from retail dispensaries. Enter your information below to send a message to your lawmakers in support of this effort.",
