	"description": "The Affordable Housing Task Force has been conducting deliberative forums all across the city where they&#x27;ve asked Pittsburgh residents to tell them what we think about affordable housing in Pittsburgh. We want to know what’s happening with our suggestions, and demand that the city be transparent with the process. We’re hoping that you’ll help us send a clear message to the city by filling out this form (link). Once you put in your info a personal email with the following demands will be sent to Mayor Peduto, and Ray Gastil and Daniel Lavelle of the Affordable Housing Task Force. Or you can use the form to personalize your own letter. We want the City of Pittsburgh to: Scan and post our participant surveys and any notes taken by our facilitators online by April 15th, so that the experiences, concerns, input, and recommendations contributed at the forums are transparently accessible to our fellow City residents. Give at least two weeks widely published notice before the televised post agenda meeting at which the Affordable Housing Task Force shall present their findings and recommendations to City Council. On that same date of published meeting notice, the City should post online all of the Affordable Housing Task Force&#x27;s recommended policies and legislation, so that residents have to time to carefully consider those proposals and prepare well-informed responses. Use public dollars for public benefit: At a minimum, Task Force recommendations must include a robust inclusionary housing policy that requires all publicly funded housing developers to set aside a percentage of the housing as affordable to very low income residents.
