We are deeply committed to the missions of our departments and the well-being of the residents who rely on county services. However, we can no longer remain silent as persistent inequities, lack of transparency, and inconsistent treatment erode both morale and the quality of public services. We are calling for fair and equitable compensation, job security, transparency in decision-making, and a more collaborative workplace environment. We urge action on these issues at the bargaining table in good faith. We urge Boulder County leadership to recognize that a healthy, respected workforce is the foundation of strong public services. These changes are not just about improving our conditions—they’re about creating a county government that truly reflects the values of equity, transparency, and care for its workers and the people we serve. We call on the Boulder County Commissioners to address these issues and bargain a fair and just contract with our union, the Boulder County Employees Union.",
