"description": "We’re calling on the administration to bring back public trash cans in our residential neighborhoods. As part of the City’s in-house trash collection pilot, trash cans were removed from residential areas to prioritize main thoroughfares and commercial corridors. While keeping our busiest streets clean is important, our residential neighborhoods deserve the same attention. Since the removal, residents have faced more litter, dog waste, and fewer convenient places to dispose of everyday garbage. Public trash cans are a simple but essential part of keeping our sidewalks, streets, and shared spaces clean. Everyone deserves to live in a clean neighborhood, regardless of where they live in Jersey City. We’re asking the City to listen to residents, restore public trash cans in residential areas, and ensure that sanitation efforts serve our entire community. Sign the petition to bring back our neighborhood trash cans and help keep Jersey City clean!",
