This took away vital transportation options for Dentonites, and put us further away from economic opportunity, environmental goals, and basic mobility for all Dentonites. Every year, Denton receives millions from DCTA for &quot;transit supportive projects.&quot; We propose that Denton use it&#x27;s 2024 DCTA funds to buy two new bus routes. Route 2 will run along loop 288, from 380 to the mall, every 20 minutes. Route 3B will complement route 3, and run from Downtown all the way down McKinney, every 43 minutes (giving ~20 minute service to the areas that Route 3 currently serves). These two routes will serve 1000+ mobile home units, thousands of apartment homes, Ryan High, and the many public services and businesses along Loop 288.",
