"description": "Flock cameras and other automated license plate readers (ALPRs) use continuous video streams, sometimes including audio, to track every car that passes them by logging licence plate numbers without consent, and sell that data to law enforcement agencies. ICE, Customs and Border Protection, local law enforcement, and hundreds of police-adjacent agencies have access to this data. This represents a massive invasion of privacy for the American people. The insecure systems of Flock and other surveillance companies like Vigilant Solutions, Axon, Genetec, and Axis Communications pose a critical threat to working people across the country, including here in Georgia. This data has been used to repress local activists, stalk former romantic partners, and harass people seeking abortions. Sign this petition and share it with your friends and family to demand that Keisha Lance Bottoms, the Democratic candidate for Georgia Governor, and Sen. Jon Ossoff, who is currently running for re-election in Georgia, take a hard stance against Flock and the mass surveillance state ahead of November’s general election. We must come together to form a united front against the increasing advances of fascism and AI tech billionaires through the use of these dangerous surveillance technologies.",
