Three years ago a runaway train carrying volatile Bakken oil crashed into the town of Lac-Mégantic in Quebec, killing 47 people and destroying much of the town. When the facts finally came out, the proximate cause of the runaway train was management’s refusal to allow workers to use the air brakes to secure the dangerous cargo. But railroad workers Tom Harding and Richard Labrie still face jail time. Scapegoating workers for unsafe management policies make railroads and all of us much less safe. That’s why everybody who cares about rail safety, the environment and workers rights has to tell the authorities to Drop The Charges.",
