	"description": "Justice 4 Housing is asking public housing authority (PHA) tenants to stand with us to make your living environment a better place to live and raise your families. Currently, punitive PHA policies control who can live in your household - if your child has contact with the justice system, you can be forced to choose between removing your child from the home or losing your voucher. Statistics show 1 in 3 households will have contact with the criminal justice system. It is cruel and inhumane to have policies that penalize tenants who, through no fault of their own, live in the most incarcerated corridors of Massachusetts. These policies destabilize communities, separate families, and create a negative stigma that hurts communities of color. Forcing tenants from their homes for minor transgressions contradicts what PHAs stand for. There is strength in numbers, please sign onto this letter endorsing the Far from Home Recommendations.
