Sixteen years ago, she came to the U.S. fleeing violence and persecution she faced in Guatemala as an indigenous woman from a Mayan community. Since then she has become an active, beloved member of her community in Lynn, MA volunteering to help others in countless ways. But she is now facing the threat of being deported within weeks and separated from her U.S. citizen son. We are rallying behind Mariola to show our support.
