Increasingly, greedy landlords are buying up local housing stock and jacking up the rents for the people who are just trying to get by. And that&#x27;s not right. It&#x27;s bad for our families, our local economy, and the community institutions that rely on a local workforce and volunteer base. It doesn&#x27;t have to be this way. We&#x27;re calling upon Lewiston city council to act quickly to put an end to rent gouging by unscrupulous landlords and limit how much our local rents can increase year to year.",
