	"description": "Based on a recent consulting bid document on July 20th, Brighton City council has been approached by Developers &quot;to discuss, process, and approve the construction of data centers&quot; in our city. We, the undersigned residents of Brighton, Adams County, and surrounding communities, formally oppose the placement and development of AI data centers within our community. Data centers cause: Water depletion (while we are already under water restrictions and the reservoirs are strained) Water pollution Air pollution (particularly diesel generators required) Health problems from infrasound exposure Sound pollution Decrease in property values Increase in public utility bills Strain to the electric grid Data centers do not bring permanent jobs to the community. In the internal application for the Windsor data center, they stated there will be 10 employees during the day and 8 at night once construction is complete. We could be focused on bringing actual jobs to our community that will not eventually be automated by the AI companies in charge of the data centers. We respectfully urge our Brighton officials to: Institute a data center moratorium until protections, transparency, and regulations are made clear with input from the community Refrain from signing NDAs related to data centers in our town Ensure transparent and meaningful public input via meetings and notices",
