	"description": "The outrageous cost of insulin, asthma inhalers and Epi-Pens is forcing New Jersey residents with chronic conditions to cope with financialized medical discrimination. In addition to facing impoverishment for their medical needs, they also pay with their health – and sometimes with their lives. In February of 2022, Governor Murphy and our state legislators introduced a package of bills in the New Jersey Legislature, which include laws that would cap the price of insulin, asthma inhalers and Epi-Pens. Since that time, Insulin price caps passed federally in the Inflation Reduction Act -- but only for those on Medicare.  This leaves the younger and working age New Jersey residents who need these life-saving medications out in the cold. Over a year later, these life-saving bills are still stuck in the state legislature, and have not been signed into law!  New Jersey needs our state legislators and Governor Murphy to finish the job and implement the price caps that they put on the table last year.   Join with North New Jersey Democratic Socialists of America as we assemble a coalition for health justice in our state.  Add your name to our petition, in demanding health justice for chronically ill residents of New Jersey!",
