Tenants should be able to seal their eviction record when they have done nothing wrong, when they pay what they owe, or when their case is dismissed or resolved. The HOMES Act, H. 4505, provides tenants with a way to seal an eviction record. There is no process now. Last year, the Senate and the House passed the HOMES Act. Governor Baker vetoed it. With thousands of evictions filed in Massachusetts each year, it is urgent to pass the HOMES Act.",
