Many of our elected representatives have caved to special corporate interests who demand tax giveaways on the backs of our children. It’s time to say enough. These actions have left our kids and their learning experience far behind where we need to be as we look toward the future. No longer can we sacrifice our kids and the future of this state for profits that go to few. A recent comprehensive study by the Michigan School Finance Research Collaborative has shown that we need to spend at least $3 Billion more per year on public education if we want every Michigan child to be prepared for the twenty-first century. We should put our babies over billionaires, and fund our public schools full and fairly.",
