"description": "Let’s challenge Birmingham City Council to stop burning 75% of the waste that they collect from households and businesses, in a burner that emitted over 300,000 tonnes of climate-changing carbon dioxide in 2019. The sky is full! Instead, we ask that they plan for the waste items to be re-used, recycled, composted or digested. We need plenty of names of people who live, study or work in Birmingham, to take to the Council meeting at the start of December. Petition below is supported by Birmingham Friends of the Earth, Climate Action West Midlands, Footsteps Faiths for a Low Carbon Future, Peace Hub Quaker Peace & Justice, and Jai Jigit UK.",
