We live in one of the poorest boroughs in the UK, with 45% of children in poverty and many adults without proper internet access. Newham residents need libraries. Libraries reduce isolation, and provide access to essential services for those in need. Libraries save the Council money by easing pressure on health and social services. Resist the Library Cuts! Cutting libraries is a political choice. in Spring 2026 Newham&#x27;s councillors will be asking for our votes in the local elections.
