Despite this, commercial tenants are still obligated to pay rent in full, with money they don’t have. This will lead many to close in the near future due to an inability to pay. Most of them will never re-open. An equitable response and recovery plan for small businesses must provide both immediate assistance and long-term protection to vulnerable businesses. It is already too late for many in our communities; don’t wait until we are in even more dire straits.",
