	"description": "I pledge not to buy any new Apple products in 2026. Apple has just announced its newest generation of products, including the iPhone 18 lineup and the new iPhone Duo. But for us, these launches are about more than new technology. They are a moment to ask what—and who—is behind the products we buy. Apple’s technology constitutes “blood tech” because its business practices and supply chains are connected to systems that materially support and benefit from genocide in Palestine and Congo. We refuse to look away while corporations prioritize growth and profit over human rights. For years, workers and community members have called on Apple to reckon with its impact. We believe Apple must listen to Palestinian and Congolese communities, investigate the harms connected to its business practices, publicly report what it finds, and take meaningful steps to repair those harms. Our demands are simple: Research, report, and remediate: Investigate the impact of Apple’s business practices on marginalized communities, make the findings public, and develop a meaningful plan to address the harm. Listen to affected communities: Meet with Palestinian and Congolese community members and establish an ongoing collaborative process concerning Apple’s activities and policies in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Israel, and Palestine. Get out of the occupation: Reconsider Apple’s presence and business relationships connected to occupied Palestinian territory and stop facilitating relationships with organizations that fund or support illegal settlements. And we’re taking this campaign to the streets. On October 23, the launch day for iPhone Duo, we are calling on communities around the world to gather outside their local Apple Stores, hold signs, distribute information, and tell Apple that the people will not remain silent. This is not merely a consumer boycott, but a statement of solidarity. Don’t buy the next Apple product. Show up. Speak out. Stand with Congo and Palestine. Say No to Blood Tech.",
