The Task Force&#x27;s proposal would boost the maximum state-supported teacher salary from $50,000 to $60,000. We, the undersigned, urge Idaho legislators to enact this Task Force recommendation during the 2020 legislative session. Idaho teacher salaries have dropped 6.4% during the past decade, when adjusted for inflation. Idaho teachers are quitting the profession and leaving the state in droves as a result. Every Idaho student deserves access to qualified teachers. We call on the Idaho Legislature to act as soon as possible to boost teacher salaries and keep our most experienced Idaho teachers in Idaho classrooms.",
