It&#x27;s time to raise your voices for change. Join us in calling for the United States government to stop separating parents and children and instead house them together and provide needed physical and mental health services. We join together to draw attention to the severe mental health consequences and lasting impact that this separation will have on families. The trauma has been shown to pass through generations. To learn more, please read the American Psychological Association&#x27;s letter to President Trump highlighting that trauma from family separation is a significant social determinant of mental and physical health, citing decades of documented scientific research showing the harmful effects of parent-child separation on children and caregivers’ emotional and psychological well-being. Read the statements of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. The science is clear - these policies have an unacceptable price.
