In 2019, SB 932 authorized fully autonomous vehicles to operate without a human on board. Today, companies are legally allowed to deploy driverless cars for commercial use on public roads in Florida. This legal fast track may benefit tech giants, but it puts our communities at risk. Across the country, autonomous vehicles have caused real harm, blocking ambulances, getting stuck mid-intersection, stopping abruptly in traffic, and endangering pedestrians and cyclists.
