	"description": "Management at Barnes &amp; Noble recently announced that our store at the Almaden Plaza in San Jose, CA, is closing. In January 2025, our lease will be up, and it will not be renewed at this location. After an initial plan to relocate fell through, management has not expressed a continued search for a new location. This completely goes against Barnes &amp; Noble CEO James Daunt’s own statements about the value of our stores, and the value of us, his employees. Many of us have worked at this company for several years, and we maintain the goal of a career in bookselling and barista work. We rely on our income, we dedicate ourselves to this job, and many of us have been frequenting this Barnes &amp; Noble location for much of our lives. We deserve, at the very least, the promise of employee relocation to other stores. All of us, as employees at the Barnes &amp; Noble Almaden store, stand together and demand that all the employees of store 2909 are relocated after the closure in January 2025. We can still fight for ourselves and our jobs. Please sign this petition to show you stand behind our demands for relocation.
