Now, Americans have a way to remove deepfake pornography and non-consensual intimate images of themselves from the internet. A huge thanks goes out to Congress for making the TAKE IT DOWN Act a reality. Unfortunately, more aspects of AI exploitation need to be addressed. Deepfakes can ruin ALL lives. It doesn’t matter if you’re a public figure or a high school student being exploited by predators on the internet. To ensure everyone is fully protected from AI deepfakes, lawmakers need to support the NO FAKES Act which gives all Americans a right to control their own likeness and voice. The passage of the NO FAKES Act would put the necessary protections in place to ensure people have the power to say “Not my face.
