	"description": "SUSPEND RENT NOW Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers have lost their income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many were barely scraping by to begin with. The City and State government must work with landlords to suspend all rent collection until the crisis is contained. We recognize the financial hardship this will place on small landlords. The City and State should explore a means-tested property tax vacation while rent payments are suspended. The City and State must also make resources available for critical repair work during and after this period. Emily for Assembly is hosting a Virtual Town Hall on Friday, March 20 at NOON to discuss this demand and other resources for renters during this crisis. Livestream link will be emailed, posted here and shared on social media later in the week.",
