	"description": "PCC claims to support progressive values -- but what happens when its workers try to show solidarity? Earlier this year, PCC made headlines for forcing workers to go home for wearing watermelon pins. After UFCW 3000 and the community rallied behind the workers, and the union authorized union watermelon pins, we thought that would be the end of it. So far 9 employees have missed a combined total of 106 hours of work after being sent home by their management for refusing to remove their union watermelon pin. When one employee refused to take his pin off, citing a violation of his labor rights under the National Labor Relations Act, he was pulled into a disciplinary meeting for “badmouthing” PCC in front of the customers. We must defend the rights of workers to organize at their workplace without fear of retaliation. We must expose the deception and hypocrisy of the CEOs like Krish and businesses like PCC that have stood by and looked the other way as suffering families being deprived of clean food and fresh water in Gaza, and as ancestral farmland is being destroyed and occupied in the West Bank and now southern Lebanon. Sign this petition to tell PCC management that the community stands in solidarity with PCC workers! Stop sending them home for wearing legally protected union apparel!",
