	"description": "Cisco played a core role in ensuring that Israel was networked, ready, and able to carry out its massacres in Gaza. The Killers band should know that before they take the stage at Cisco Live! on Wednesday, June 11.¹ Grammy-nominated The Killers should also know that 1,700 Cisco workers have called on their employer to divest from Israel.² For 20 months, we have witnessed the horrific live-streamed massacres and forced starvation of Palestinians. We are outraged by Israel’s ongoing military attacks and by the corporations and governments that support it. That’s why we’re asking The Killers to cancel their performance and support the call from Cisco workers to divest from Israel’s genocide. The genocide in Gaza is deeply personal for 32 Cisco workers who have lost 288 family members to Israel’s attacks.² Employees have been speaking up about Cisco&#x27;s complicity in Israel’s war on Gaza since 2023. Cisco’s response has been to shut down organizing spaces, silence conversations, and terminate the employment of at least one worker.² Cisco’s ties to Israel’s defense establishment and involvement in Israel’s illegal occupation are well documented.³ Cisco provides the IDF with its Unified Communications System, which streamlines data, voice, and video transmission, allowing soldiers to communicate and share information faster, from anywhere, on any device.
