	"description": "A Sanctuary from ICE In one of our earliest bargaining sessions in Hadley, MA, we presented a proposal that we expected to be uncontroversial— our Sanctuary Store proposal. Its demand was simple— that Trader Joe&#x27;s not allow ICE to enter our stores without a valid warrant. But, for Trader Joe&#x27;s, even this modest commitment was out of the question. Since then, this proposal has been presented at bargaining sessions across the country. And, Trader Joe&#x27;s is still unwilling to engage with it seriously. Trader Joe&#x27;s Has Made Their Stance Clear After ICE&#x27;s killing of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, the membership of our Minneapolis local would renew their safety concerns with their management team. Not only was management unwilling to make a commitment— but, Trader Joes&#x27; council and representative found a reason to cancel their Minneapolis bargaining session— avoiding the topic altogether. Now, Trader Joe&#x27;s is even sending our Oakland members home from their shifts for wearing pins that read, “TJU Stands Against ICE.” Trader Joe’s is no longer sitting on the fence— they are actively picking a side. Tell Trader Joe&#x27;s: Protect the safety of your customers and crew members. If ICE cannot provide a valid judicial warrant, commit to keeping them out!",
