As a young Latino, I feel that Public lands need to be accessible to all of Colorado’s families. Being in the great outdoors reminds us that the world is so much larger than the city in which we live, and it reminds us of how much we truly have to lose. Having access to National Parks and other public lands gives our families the chance to be together - to reconnect and to enjoy the beauty of the Colorado wilderness. In addition, protecting our national parks and other public lands is an important step in combating climate change. Send a message to those in power, &quot;we value the environment and if you are going to represent us, you should too.&quot; In honor of Latino Conservation week, let’s urge our legislators to stand firm on protecting our National Parks and other public lands.
