	"description": "Winnemac Park is a beloved place in our community where many exercise, play sports, hold events, use the playground, or just go to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature trails and scenic prairie gardens. Both neighbors and visitors from other parts of the city take advantage of what the park has to offer. In recent years the park has seen significant additional traffic (see letter below). Advisory council members frequently hear concerns regarding the lack of restrooms, and the number one suggestion for improvement of the park on the Winnemac Park Advisory Council’s (WPAC) 2025 fall survey was bathrooms. As a result, we have created this petition to formally present relevant information to the Park District and the 40th Ward as part of our request for support. The Winnemac Park Advisory Council is focused on 1) researching varied options for a permanent, accessible bathroom solution and 2) pursuing the means to make this happen. This will be a long-term effort, with the priorities right now being 1) collecting information about free-standing self-cleaning outdoor toilets (as one option) and 2) documenting support in the community for a bathroom solution in Winnemac Park. Restrooms being open and available can make a huge difference in someone&#x27;s experience visiting Winnemac Park. The petition will remain open for an indefinite amount of time, until a decision is made on how to move forward. Please consider signing and sharing the petition to support the need for a solution to the decades-long problem of appropriate bathroom facilities in Winnemac Park.",
